PUSPUS

It lies along the national highway between Brgys. Aggay and Sinabaan with a registered voter of around 230, a total population of about 550 and an approximate land area of 50 hectares.

The name of the barangay was taken the term ‘alipuspus’ because its residents, in the early days, were mostly engaged in weaving. They called their weaving product as ‘alipuspus’, referring to the initial core of knitted thread of interlace, and there from coined the phraseology ‘taga-puspus’ referring to the fine weavers of the place.

Many are into farming, poultry raising, mini-bus operators, drivers, conductors, teachers, government and private employees and into other businesses. It is in this place where the original pulutan or appetizer called calliente  (garnished cowskin) was believed to have originated.
